International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera ‘Caffarelli’ – 5^th edition 2026

The Traetta Opera Festival announces the 5^th edition of the ‘Caffarelli’ International Competition for Baroque opera singers. The competition will take place at the ‘Tommaso Traetta’ Town Theatre in Bitonto, from the 29^th to the 30^th of September, 2026.

Sopranos, sopranists, mezzosopranos, contraltos, altos, tenors, countertenors, baritones and bassos of any nationality, who are not over 38 years old at the end of the application deadline, are admitted to participate.

DEADLINE 10^th JULY 2026

Competitors who comply with the rules of the announcement will receive the results of the online qualifying round by August 31, 2026.

• link to the video for the online qualifying round or a certificate of 1st/2nd/3rd prize in a similar international competition (from 2021 to 2026)
• scores (in HD PDF) of all the arias
